VR virtuoso, Twitch streamer, Animal Crossing aficionado, and producer GRIMECRAFT just dropped the debut single for his upcoming album, Era, due out this year. “MAKO” with Mega Ran is a Final Fantasy VII-influenced EDM/rap hybrid banger.
The single is accompanied by an otherworldly music video depicting a futuristic society embroiled in controversy, with clips of FF7 spliced in between. The track is a particularly strong fusion between Mega Ran’s rap vocals and a wonderfully melodic lead synth with punchy drums, a strong start to what should prove to be an album to look forward to this year.
