It’s always a pleasant experience to be with an artist from the beginning. Since Calivania’s first solo release this past February, we’ve been enraptured with the sound and vibe presented by this anonymous act. With their newest song, “Black Velvet & Chrome,” we get a bit deeper into their influences and what makes them tick.
“Black Velvet & Chrome” is rife with gritty guitar chords and punctuated vocals. It’s at an almost maddeningly slow tempo but with all the fills and extra melodies in between, it’s beautifully filled and terrifyingly addicting.

Our death* is a choice. What you consider life could be hardly living…to us, death* is a metaphor for shedding unfulfilled, indecisive, monotonous existence and embarking upon a spiritual transformation.
